"Another Today..."

"Another Today..."

I wandered Emma Joy Green’s “Words”.

She asked we respond with our own instead of reviewing hers.  So…

“Another Today…”

Lavender and honeysuckle

…entwine…

arms enfolding dreams -

held close and tight

as the mind awakens to "nows".

Deep breath -

deep, deep …breath

tasting…tasting…the senses

reaching…reaching

past tomorrows

through all the yesterdays

‘til

…a softly whispered "Good Morning…"

echoes out to cross the world.

The eyes still glisten

still smile -

remember…

as feet touch the floor

…sunrise awaits, as it always has -

always will

…await

and coffee's need is deep

and earned.

Windows beckon

…"looking-through" -

into the glass of the world -

and touching the tears of due

silently slipping down, down

and down…inside

and sometimes outside too.

Coffee mist rising to transparency,

ears remembering silence -

mind reliving its echoes

…fingertips…bleeding.

Life continues…

Each of us has our own way of speaking our mind... nice of you to pause.

No problem at all.
Beauty of new beginnings and fresh start, continuing of that that was ended yet not finished- Beauty - if only time didn’t have to move on , the silence awakes new thoughts, the world takes shape- beautiful words of a new day - may it be just as good as in the words you have written, really enjoyed it🌹

Am nodding softly to that... such thoughts do pause a person...
Chris, I really enjoyed this poem. It is filled with so much imagery, I always had a picture in my mind, with every line I read.

´a softly whispered "Good Morning…"

echoes out to cross the world.´

This is where I had this huge picture, of the sun rising, and towns people quietly telling each other good morning.

Beautifully written. I look forward to reading more of your work!.

and "Good Morning to you as well..."
Reverence combined with moments reflected in a day, or days or the days not yet to come our way. These moments are everything and yet nothing of what is today

So life continues, but the memories don't fade.

Absolutely beautiful. Rhythmic words in sound and in meaning that bring images to mind of the everyday, the today’s. THe meaningful todays.
