Lips, once silenced, can never ask a question; and a mind, once stilled, can never question. It's a human nature to question, to not see what's seen, and to know and deny. We are a fickle lot, aren't we?
As always, your words are a divination, a recognition, and prayer.
So poignant and compelling. "Coffee and a sunrise"- the time for introspection and questions that often go unanswered... " a whisper to a shared God." Yes. Great flow, repetition, form and imagery. I hear this poem with my soul.
Such a passionate cry ripples, the echoes warmly expand until even the swifts on high hear the tone...absolutely beautiful, devastatingly so but beautiful...
I always enjoy the way you use text to emphasize emotion and voice. I could hear you reading this piece in my head and while it has a melancholy feel, there's also the bit of jubilation at feeling again. miss hearing you. Gotta get my life back on track with my writing and poetry.
Repetitions and pacing very effective here. emotions less linear than direct statement, gives immediacy to the inner life of the poem, makes it shareable. Vague about the details of pain and loss--more people can relate that way. I love the upreach in this. We are more than our past, our losses.
