"Moonbeams..."

"Moonbeams..."

A Poem by Chris
"

step-pause-step-pause...

"
Step...
Pause...
Step...
Pause...

“Moonbeams…”

I wonder if time DOES travel

and to where she would go -

whom does time visit?

- and would it be on-a-dare?

Time...

We all know she flies

- but does SHE ponder the costs...

Does SHE pick and choose -

carryon? Or check?

and still ~ does SHE ...pause?

...does SHE look back?

The receipts are always left behind

falling through my fingertips

as I stare each eternity in the face.

Does my time cry

…as she waves goodbye?

I greatly enjoyed your poem. The title is wonderful, and I have thought much on time. Your poem sums everything up in an inspiring way. Thank you.

It was nice of you to come by.. I do hope you found you'll want to return...
' and still ~ does SHE ...pause? - ...does SHE look back? '

You know, maybe if we knew the answers to your wondering, Man would muck it up, use it, abuse it, so.. maybe we should all take a leaf from your book and just wonder.

Time's both friend and enemy... and your thoughts seem to nod head at that wee though> Tho your words talk of 'her' in almost loving tones, wondering tone - seems you have questions to ask if ever 'she's stop long enough! So often, you gently thrust suggestions then fly off, smiling over your shoulder, know you leave wee conundrums for your readers in your wake.

I always say goodbye to material things, like it's killing me inside, having to let go. But I'm a Cancer, it's in my DNA, I think!

How's the weather...still cold? I've got some coffee from my Keurig to warm you...take care!

This was great and the questions you raise have me thinking now. Time is everywhere and nowhere...it only comes around when it's time. Very cool Chris.

In this day and age she would do more than just ponder the cost. She would be thinking is the ride worth all of that money. As for time, there never is enough of it with a loved one. Nice write. Valentine

You raise many interesting thoughts, my friend. All I know for sure is my time here reading your work is always time well spent. Now off to ponder more.

As the great Groucho said.
'Time flies like an arrow........ fruit flies like a banana'.
I've always wanted to use the word pithy in a review. Now I get the chance. I'm asking myself those questions about time now as are all other readers. This is a true mind at work and that is always wonderful to see.

such depth of feeling here...we always complain about how time flies, or say it heals all wounds, or it waits for no man...
but this perspective is so different...actually personifying time in a different way..where would she go? would she fly? what airline would she use?
and how much baggage would she have...probably enough so that she would need to take southwest...where bags fly free.

clever piece from a clever mind.

and i agree with what Jazz said.

it would read very well.
Time is heartless, it seems..

You always have my full attention
As I read...and after..

You don't need praise...
But I need to tell you...this is Good
