"Hi..."

"Hi..."

A Poem by Chris
"

Catching a breath

"

     "Hi..."

     Seems we gaze

     out and into the wherever

     - doesn't it?

     Strange place that

     ...wherever.

     I don't recognize the colors

     the tastes

the shapes - are they people

     things ...times -

     gone by or to come?

     I'm not alone today -

Do I have to hold my breath?

     Do you?

if to pause with you - then hell yes...chuckling here.
The gaze for us is into the imagery of the words we use to shape the where-ever. Interesting write...liked it.

A child, a nameless relation- innocent of this narrative, gave me a picture book. Dull thing, filled with geometric wallpaper. Dull until I relaxed my vision, disfocused until I was looking wherever. Then an amazing thing happened. Things began to crawl off the page. Amazing, children are amazing things.
Rather like poetry in some ways at some times, some wheres.

Thanks for the poem.

I appreciate your visit and your insight.
I take from this how things in our lives can start to blend together that it all becomes a blur… sometimes we need to stop and sort it all out.

This makes me imagine a man who is thinking of someone far, while he holds someone else close, and wonders who she is holding.

If I held my breath - It would benefit a few people I think. Found this resonant. The where ever. We've become comfortable out here and not so good face to face.
Well penned.

I've missed your thoughts... good to hear you again.
Hi! This was great, I enjoyed reading! I agree about the "presence" of this "wherever", I think we are always gazing at it somehow. You can hold your breat if you'd like, but wherever will remain. :)
