"Hi..."

"Hi..."

A Poem by Chris
"

Catching a breath

"

     "Hi..."

     Seems we gaze

     out and into the wherever

     - doesn't it?

     Strange place that

     ...wherever.

     I don't recognize the colors

     the tastes

the shapes - are they people

     things ...times -

     gone by or to come?

     I'm not alone today -

Do I have to hold my breath?

     Do you?

This reminded me of a phrase I once read in a book: "I dream of you in colours that don't exist."

What a beautiful description of the daydreaming eyes; that "far off" look, as our sight becomes unfocused, the shapes mold together creating new ones and colours merge. Indeed, what are they? Do they have a name?

very intriguing poem .. we do gaze out .. most certainly ..a rock of day dreaming .. perhaps the third eye opens ... making physical worlds unrecognizable ... your closing verse captivates me ... i think the questions are at once an invitation and a challenge ... perplexing!

alone in a crowd, alone with the universe .. i find your poem captivating :)

The poem had a gentle feel to the thoughts and I like the questions create by your words. I awake each day not knowing exact what will be right or wrong. Good thing or bad? I don't know? I enjoyed the good poetry. Made me think this early morning.

Isn't that what we all want? To know we're not alone?

wherever comes to us like a moment...it's there, or where, or here maybe, then it's gone...

Searching for breath ..
In most unusual places
Wishing to not wake..
Hoping to be thought of-
Once
In a while...
