"Every Story..."

"Every Story..."

A Poem by Chris
"

A formal recital - 6 songs with an Intermission ...piano back-up.

"
A formal recital - six songs with an Intermission ...piano back-up.  The final song - "To Dream The Impossible Dream".

"Every Story..."

The Nightingale - entered,

paused

then nestled - close,

touched my eyes…

held the air

tight …and began.

Then came the tones - soft,

clear, and yet just barely …trembled.

She began to build,

find herself, taste her rhythm

live her heart - lightly flow

care-fully grow and weave

and fill

…and our silence held its breath.

I remembered

as her last echoes filled my thoughts,

as her smile found my heart,

...It WAS a Grand day

to just BE.

I bet Miss Andrea has a beautiful voice..
Wish I could have been there
And your words read soft and love-ly

Nice...Jazz

Oh to be your nightingale, any woman would swoon, seriously, Chris, this is an amazing write. :)

That was ...special, thank you for pausing.
I enjoy very much the manner in which you weave your words in this poem. Very nice write.

Thank you for pausing with me Susan. Take care.
"it was the nightingale and not the lark whose song pierced the hollow of the morn"
a serenade to wake up to, not harsh tones...and those last echoes made my heart smile with the thought of her...
beautiful...."and our silence held its breath"
so nicely personified...

not only does "every picture tell a story" but it seems every song as well.

Not only stunningly beautiful but I would love to have heard this - intricate and sublime - love the picture too, this would have been something to hear, so beautiful xx
