I was doing fine until the ending of your poem. Now there are tears in my eyes for my missing friend, because it is remembering our shared smiles that hurts way more than remembering our moments of when we no longer sparkled in each other's eyes. Thanks for sharing your beautiful poem.

Wow you sound lost for you friend...this was really good though..well thought out but then you are very methodical. YOu write so well...I will be reading all of your work in the next couple of days.

this really stabs my heart, Chris...i remember my friend Paula...my best friend who died in a fire many years ago...she was only 27...the sweetest, most caring person...why does it happen to the best of us...
and yet, those who are mean, nasty, takers...they live to be 100...
i still talk to her...she is still very close to my heart.
