"Life isn't fair but it is still good." We just have to appreciate every good side of it and enjoy every moment. Every moment that we cry and pout or blame that it is always unfair, we are stealing a moment of chance to be happy.
This is a sort of reminder that we should appreciate life because it is a blessing to feel everything every moment that we breathe.
Awesome, Chris! Thanks for sharing your poetry.

Just because you might think you are ...unseen or unheard... doesn't mean you are.
This piece is even more beautiful when read out loud. The lines:
"Life ...the tear
that falls in the dawn
as you smile
...because you can." Ah, life makes up of the choices we made.
~~ Life is the path we travel -
the moments we share ~~
How true ~~ Much appreciative write. Last verse of the write`s very deep having some depths of the misery which defines the meaning of your title "Life`s not fair" .. lovely. Nice work!
“when there is ...none - other than
perhaps a timing
- good or bad”
Yes, life is willy-nilly serendipity. Our universe is so enormous that there’s a chance for most anything to happen that’s possible. If something comes together of great complexity ( such as life), then we might think that it was intentionally created instead of being a chance occurrence. Sooner or later someone wins the lottery of life. Place a monkey on a typewrite for a trillion years and he’ll type out a best selling novel.
Some believe if we are "Good" then good things will happen to us
I don't believe that is true at all.. but still think we should be
Good for goodness sake..
I've seen innocence harmed and buried early
Evil that won and prospered
Love that turned to actual hate..sigh
And I will never understand any of the reasons why
But I am glad to be .. and share
With Thee.........
No, life isn't fair, but it is wonderful, and frustrating, and agonizing, and perfect all at the same time --- and life is very special with people like you sharing this planet with me.
I love the thoughts here. And yes so many need a reason for everything that happens in this world. I think because then they can find someone or something to blame. My mother used to tell me frequently that life wasnt fair....and she was right. I didn't grow up expecting some rosy feel good life...I knew that there would be happiness and pain. I also knew that you pick yourself up...dust yourself off and try to keep going. I knew that you may not get what you want and you don't just lay down and die because of it....you're still breathing and hopefully you'll see another day. Perspective and appreciation is required to live a balanced life...
this is wonderful..."the tear that falls in dawn/ as you smile/ because you can"
life isn't fair, it just is...
some of what you say in this poem reminds me of first, Romeo and Juliet...which may be a tragedy based on fate, or more likely, just bad timing all the way through...a play of near misses.
and part of the poem reminded me of Finding Forrester when William says:
"there are no reasons, reasons why some of us live and some of us don't"
and that is so true...there are no reasons, but when it is bad, we do tend to personalize it too much, but only the bad, we forget to personalize the good just as well, and appreciate each breath, as you so aptly expressed.
