"Where Is My ...Window?"

"Where Is My ...Window?"

A Poem by Chris
"

Think about it...

"
"Where Is My ...Window?"
Things just aren't the same.
Feeling "off" -
the silence that really isn't any different
it's just NOW it feels ...so heavy
so empty...
the world is ticking away somehow
and I want to be ...somewhere
...somewhere I choose
- somewhere I want
- some time I want.
The dark isn't friendly now
it feels tight and close
uncertain
I need ...no, I want
being held
It was supposed to be
but
life happened
and now ...what?

Yes, life does happen and not always the way we would choose it to be, either we live with it or bang ourselves in the head trying to change it. Valentine

Not sure it ever turns out exactly as we have planned or hoped, but still we should keep that hope alive. I enjoyed this poem today Chris. I really like your style of writing.

very relate-able!! :( almost claustrophobic

This is certainly how I have felt in the recent past. Something in my life just off - just being at a place in my life where I take a look around and wonder what the f**k have I been doing and what should come next. I understood this entirely

Umm ... Very thoughtful! How dominantly you speed-up the flow expressing the realness of being loved is very intriguing. With the time, nothing remnant same as before and the feelings, yes ..of course, Off.

Well penned!

so may can relate to this poem, great write, very thought provoking, we aspire for the dreams we cherish and settling is hard, constantly looking for window is so genuine aspirations, well done, impressed

Indeed the dark holds dangers, excitement and for me at least intrigue, a most provocative read.

your welcome.
Hello Chris,

What? Now we create our own openings turn what seems like dissolution into our own gains and desires. We take the world as we see it and for however long we can...dominate. Become the whispers in the wind and the demons that haunt. Well unless you want to be the saint that saves.

Forgive me, not everyone wants to paint the world in blood and black. Or do we? To each our own.

With Love,

Matthew

AWAKENING maybe just a feeling or maybe feelings became so real they became reality. :) i love the way u made it be something different without saying what was. The poem feels like thoughts in ones head, totally bizarre yet completely familiar. I think its very awesome!! :D
