It is so refreshing to read this perspective on humanity because it is seldom written or even heard about. Although there will always be suffering and pain and injustice, and in many cases, an inhuman amount of evil, there will always be an overpowering source of good. And humanity definitely still exists, it just doesn't share the limelight as much anymore. I think this poem will help people to remember what our purpose really is in life and what we should never give up doing so long as we're alive. Definitely a favourite.
I feel sad on what had happen in syria, but and that 'but' indeed, I can only feel the helplessness of the situation that I can't help. The experiment on the bus, was heart touching, it was, it was... I have my hopes that we haven't all lost our hearts from those things shiny and alluring. A very nice message, truly wonderful message.
Where does a child go when grown? Perhaps children keep us in touch with that child that is often lost within each of us as we age, lost within a winding maze of worldly trauma. When we take care of children we take care of the child within.
Such a thoughtful and inspiring and truthful write. And yes, it starts little, with little things. My daughter went to a birthday party where she was asked to bring donations to the Humane Society in lieu of gifts. Now my daughter wants to do the same thing for the local Women's shelter with no prompting from me ...
