"Today's Thought..."

"Today's Thought..."

A Poem by Chris
"

Sunday through the world

"

I wandered the world today.  The net is ever and wide and alluring as coffee in hand I stepped, then paused - over-and-over-and-over with each and yet so many others’ thoughts - and today …a “Sun”-day with my own world drenched and strangling under and within the snow.  And their overwhelming emotional outpouring filled then rebounded and echoed until all I could hold was:

“Today’s Thought…”

These are the thoughts a person lives with ...the reason for porch steps and sea walls at 3 AM.

The movements in the sunset

as all the world - its colors merged and swirled

spun-glass-tingling-sprinkling-sparklings

brought it back…

me …back

all …back

to there …from there

where that formless roil of the worlds’ lights

was my thoughts -

that tangible hurt began to again caress

- trace - enwrap - twist - grasp - tigHTEN

and the scent of loss was my breath,

the taste - the bloodless chill of endings,

and one-by-one-by-them all

the    the     breeze - carried

the tones of ...everything and every one

and

                        I cried.

            and it wasn't softly

it wasn't

it was wrenched so hard

my lips bled as my teeth closed

and opened and opened and opened

and my eyes rolled and

the blackness filled

all that was ...again.

There is a god

and while It didn't laugh

nor hold me up

the senseless fall was cushioned

by the grass -

lawn, meadow, hill, dune, shadow

paddy, sawgrass, flowing waves, sand,

hardscrabble, concrete, The Wall, steamvent, bench,

curb, grave …chair

the world

and beneath my feet

where every thing was the dust

of what ever …was

another lost tear landed.

Sometimes life touches hard... and we're left with just the aftermath
You are a master of alliteration. I think I understand this to be when a person is going through a rough patch in his/her life, and cannot sleep because s/he is thinking about his/her troubles.

Again, I always seem to find myself, or a large part of me here in your shelves. The wandering and ponderings of the world. That's a weight only those that truly feel are willing to experience. Feeling so strongly that the emotions are ripped from us. Turning to find the flicker of light, the turn of phrase from a favorite book or a smile at the window to cushion the collapse under the burden. You put it to paper ever so well. The wise sage emparting beauty and wisdom... I listen eagerly. Thank you again my friend.

Beautiful expression. to me, this spoke that even during and after a gut wrenching emotional breakdown, the world is still there for you to fall back on. The world goes on.

I really liked this one.

I like your take on the divine. It's an indifferent one for sure.

This piece reminds me how to be thankful of my everyday life. The things I am not good at or lucky or blessed about despite that I am thankful for the little goodthings that comes from the misfortune. Like everything is not perfect, we just make used of the imperfection to be perfect in our own eyes and ways. A very expressive piece Sir.
