Chris, I have read many, many of your works and I admire following each one in its very own distinctive, intricately detailed venture. However, for reasons beyond my own knowledge, this very one- it has stuck with me since the very first time I read it. I even shared it with my writer friend, Kevin, who was also drawn in by this piece. The most I've figured about the pieces ability to drawn one in or captivate, is (for the sake of BEING completely oxymoronic for a moment), it possesses such bold endeavor but without reasoning. I can almost empathize with this yet, it's assurance to exactly what ones empathy should be extended [to], is kind of unknown. Still one of my favorite pieces!!
Such a beautiful, lingering piece that makes one pay attention to the breaths, blinks, and heartbeats that are a part of life that to seldom go unnoticed

Thank you for pausing and the thoughts you shared.
I love this! I've been working on an essay for an application for a pilgrimage, and for that I had to recall some of the moments that have defined my life--not the big dramatic ones, but the quiet ones, most often the ones spent gazing up at the stars or playing on rocks or meditating or walking alone. It's important to have moments to simply be.
