"And Now The Glaciers Melt..."A Poem by ChrisA Thursday Thought again“And Now The
Glaciers Melt…”
I remember Mission
beach at sunsets… ...and Virginia
Beach... Beaufort, the Atlantic City
boardwalk… and a world of other
places - other times…
Norwegian fjords, Rotterdam quays, Rhodes, Cigle, Istanbul Japan, England,
Portugal…
Hands I’ve held and those I couldn’t, wishes and kisses - given and taken.
H’lo’s and goodbyes, People...mindshots
of captured breaths and so many, many
faces. All the sounds I
missed and those I couldn’t.
I’ve lived and died
by inches - the hurts so deep
God cried… love so deep - I
cried… and days I made a
difference.
