"Between Friends..."

"Between Friends..."

A Poem by Chris
"

a note on any scale you care to hear

"
Thursday thoughts...
Chilled fingertips.  Eyes gazing to the glass.  So many "voices" jostling to become distinct - heard... felt.  Known.  My mind is meandering all over the place... saw some people I hadn't touched in a while.  I'm breathing and thinking...
"Between Friends..."
"Hi  - Do you have" ...coffee... or tea now?  Have I caught you on the "run"?  Have a minute or a day?

Classes?  Thoughts?

I could share some
insights
but that takes time...
do you have any?
- to spare
listening
to where you aren't
or haven't been
or perhaps really are afterall
if you think on it.

Introspection
and before lunch
...who knew?

Nobody has the time anymore, or makes the effort. That's why I take myself out, treat myself to a nice lunch, and spend some "me" time...on me.

It's good to see you, Chris...even from afar!

So many voices, so much chaos, everyone wanting, needing to be heard, to be seen, to have their lives somehow validated by a few moments spent in reflection with a friend. Nicely written.

Anytime.....
Self- reflection before lunch...let us see, " I am afraid I cannot share some of my time because I am too occupied. ". This is the common excuse that makes us human in this contemporary world lost the direct connection not only to our fellows but our connection to the other members of the natural world. Sad truth that I think makes us less human. Going back to the first word, when are we going to have time for self-reflection in order for us to be connected again...

For you, I will make time...
Life gets busy, but we have to connect...it's does the soul good to read you!
Thank you for reminding me to take some time to visit dear friends.

Introspection before lunch... sounds like a great idea. And time to share with a friend... heaven.

Do you have 'any insights to spare', now that's clever Chris...did it all pull together by Friday? Enjoyable read.

...who knew? -- these lines were fantastic...reminded me of something I read by Salinger, recently.

This one had a very interesting format, which is what I noticed first. A jumble, a bit like a ball of twine all knotted together, and then began the unraveling and finally it was free of itself and everything made sense...

A lot goes on these days.... haha. Always something new to discover and people to see. It's important to take a little breather

busy, managing a little better :)
Introspection is always a good thing....if you know yourself, you can more easily accept others. We all lead busy lives. Difficult to keep up sometimes. I liked this one. Lydi*

To stop and take a breath, to reconnect and make time for the ones who truly do touch us. To stop and remember to let them in is a thing we all need to do more of. It is the simple things that matter in this rushed life. Angi~
