"The Sound Of ...magyk..."

"The Sound Of ...magyk..."

A Poem by Chris
"

Friday thoughts

"

“The Sound Of …magyk…”

If we could only speak

using the voices we hear inside.

Speaking the words

…even when they’re our words...

as our eyes scan the pages.

Deep bass, solid tenor,

baritone ...alto, melodious soprano…

brash, tight tones

smoooooooooooth tones

honeyed - alluring, drawing …tones,

accents!  Flavors!

We listen to ourselves

and hear all the "others" -

but it doesn't change the meaning of

or behind what we say.

The tones all give life and depth

to thoughts that would otherwise

be unheard at all.

Yes....and yes...just soothing for a tired mind xx

Yes, there are times I would love to be able to read my poetry with someone else's voice...the way I think the poem should sound when it is born in my imagination. Getting our thoughts out there....having others hear them and read them...is all important. I liked this one. Lydi**

Now see, I need to listen into radio show to hear you read! :) Friday nights are difficult for me to pin down that hour. One of these days... Or I'll just start posting my writings with an audio link to sound cloud or something...
Loved the write and where it took me :)

T'was good to listen to the radio last night .. loved all the sounds..

All the voices rolled in one .. telling the stories of-

"I am part of all that I have met;
Yet all experience is an arch wherethrough
Gleams that untravelled world, whose margin fades
For ever and for ever when I move.".......

Your words reminded me of Tennyson's poem ..
Maybe I 'took' it wrong .. maybe not :)..

I don't think You've ever truly forgotten one word You've heard, or read..

Sometimes soulful thoughts are deep within but it can be difficult to express them to others !

I enjoyed this entire write.

I really liked the first part quite a bit

*If we could only
speak
using the voices we hear
inside
speaking the words"

So many times I feel this way with my inner monologue.
And the way you ended was perfect.

"to thoughts that would otherwise
be ...unheard at all."

I love how you put into words what I know I have thought but never really paid attention to. I feel better that at least they get heard.....what a nice thought. (I hear myself say with no sound as I type this :)

The radio went well tonight Mike. Maybe one day you'll try it out...KZKO

I know the "feeling", the thoughts still flow but the hand doesn't want to move as much.
