" Midnight At Noon..."A Poem by ChrisAs promised for Hana Saemon
As promised to a new
member of WC - Hana Saemon. While this one may not be what you thought I
would say ...I paused with your thoughts and nothing else would have been
right.
"Midnight At
Noon..."
So many rip and trash the pics... leaving the mind to midnight musings in a noontime world
Anger and tears the sounds of shattering breaking shards of hearts and glass frames and fists pounding pounding in the night - each heartbeat heartbleat... the silence ...cold ...empty but for the full of hurt
the price and guilt of caring the tears and fractured smiles, the KNOWING eyes all the while knowing eyes, empty full sitting waiting ...knowing and yet praying and even an answer - any answer is but another noon's musing as the midnight passes so slow, soooo slow.
God doesn't laugh as the arms so softly enfold and take the dreams we held so very hard and close ...away... again and again. God doesn't laugh as the hurt grows and grows beyond and shatters what we are ...were ...would or could have been. ...and God doesn't ...laugh... as our eyes stare into the darkness of the noonday sun and see the swirling lights shimmering in the tears still held.
Life is choices made and ...not, paths walked ...and not. Chances accepted and run with so damn hard that every stumble was a fall and the bloodied knees so scarred and the scraped palms and ragged finger tips never seemed to heal. And each sunrise shared was a victory held gently close inside and the sunset marked a place where we knew tears were going to fall BUT damn we tried... not to have it all but to have our moment in the midnight sun afterall.
Memories have a price... and I remember them all.
Chris
