"Poetry Is An Aural Art...

"Poetry Is An Aural Art...

A Poem by Chris
"

Listening to the ghostlets drifting through

"

…for me I always - A L W A Y S - remember that

"Poetry Is An Aural Art..."

I deal in tones and echoes.

How sounds feel

and the words in their shimmering seem -

to move

to weave

to dance and fly,

to BE alive --

to weep and laugh

til you feel the sounds

of a frown

of a hope

…know a tear in ANGER,

despair in a smile.

Life holds the rhythm -

and its beat we follow

as the flow takes us to EVERY where

that our eyes might touch

what our ears ...dreamed.

Worth the pause every time. 'Wicked' Now you see it, now you don't. Thanks.

PS. I wrote the poem for Ed Hart.

HE is a Great here and anywhere else you might find his writing...
It is also very visual if handled this deftly. I can sense the flow of life, its music as I read this.

'That our eyes might touch what our ears dream.' Indeed, indeed.

Beccy.

you came by and paused again... good morning (at least it is that - here).
Life holds the rhythm -
and its beat we follow
as the flow takes us to EVERY where
that our eyes might touch
what our ears ...dreamed....

So very true, poetry is so much more than words. It is sounds and feel and rythym and movement. Very well penned my friend.

K - will do that
Really amazing. I love this. I love everything I've read so far, but I do believe this is my favorite now. 'know a tear in anger, despair in a smile'... The contrast you draw here in this piece really makes a person think. And appreciate. Words voice for us the ability to feel, to think and to understand. The pen truly is mightier than the sword.

You're welcome
Words do have their own energy. They can lift one on high, or they can bring one down low. If we live in the words - the dream words - perhaps we can make the dreams come true. This reminds me of the power of positive thinking, and that whatever you're looking for is what you shall find. We are the creators of our own reality, and it's up to us whether we live the dream or settle for something less.

I love this!

"to weep and laugh
til you feel the sounds
of a frown
of a hope"

These are words to greet each new day by, Chris. I mentally envision what it is I am striving for. It gives me the exuberance of a child, making my load seem much lighter.

This was beautiful. It really just reminded me of how much I love words and what they do to my mind and how they make me feel emotionally. It makes my passion for the written word grow fonder. :)
