"Ways..."

"Ways..."

A Poem by Chris
"

more to think on

"

"Ways..."

Ways to be,

ways to feel

...so many "ways"...

to breathe

to prove

to live

see        be seen

BE all you can

just

to     let go,     end

to leave

and in the dying -

it's always a lil more with each pause,

that each I fades

I's

...ants and gnats...

wondering where all the IT's are at.

Highs and lows

and ever the 'tweens -

'til

ways and more

ways

and ever more ...stills.

Ways... To be and not to be. They can get all twisted up in this mortal coil. Of right and wrong and who decides. Such variance from one living thing to the next.

Sorry I had missed this one.
Or maybe not. I needed your voice and the calm right now.
Steady is the sound of the heartbeat in my ears.

sometimes so many ways are obscured by just one way sadly!

So many ways to live and learn and ponder whats it for. Poignant lovely write. Echoes!

The first few , I wonder if we can call them, stanzas are all about hesitation of the poet in speaking out of the shock of what has happened, I gather? I see the pauses as hesitation and more. Until the final pause death. Picturesque and nice! Thankyou for the good read, Chris :)

Anytime :)
there are more ways to be than are imagined...

I's fade away, people die...It's seem to hang around long after...

that is the way it is...still.

nice abstract write..

"to let go, end"

i'm leaving now...but will be back to your page again...

enjoy your style and the keen philosophy you insightfully put not only in your words but also the "t'weens"--

I appreciate your pause and thoughts.
Hello dear... I lingered... and thought my thoughts in many ways.

Every time you are anchored to something, whether it be to a lover, or a 9 to 5 job, and you have to break free, take a little pause away from it all to reflect on the things you deem worth bearing the weight of that anchor, it takes a toll on you. Eventually, you learn how to prioritize, steam line anything and everything you feel that anchor's not worth carrying for any longer. When you get everything in order and life is rolling along, you feel light and giddy, on top of the world. But, you must still remain anchored to something. otherwise, you just might float away...

There are quite a lot of ways, that's true.

This stanza:
"and in the dying
a lil more each pause
each I" was rather hard to read. You might want to make sure it reads the way that you intended it to.

other than that it carried on nicely down the page and you did a great job.

I agreed... so try it now?
Beautiful simplicity. I loved it.

simple is where we find ourselves on any given day with the same words of the day before...

that s what we as Poets do ...try.
At the still centre of this poem is BE around which or from which extend a multiplicity of ways, ways of doing, ways of being, ways as paths that can lead away or to or around or in. Distracted from distraction by distraction, now more so than ever, we need to set aside these ways and BE STILL.
