"How Are Words Chosen?"

"How Are Words Chosen?"

A Poem by Chris
"

A quiet ...thought

"

"How Are Words Chosen?  "

Do the thoughts align to form a rhyme

and slip and slide into formats of light

- each but another measure of what might

be a this or that or even a "q" that added

becomes a squiggle of sound-based-sight?

And what decides or determines the path

each breath of thought must flow

to be where we as a person go

to align and find a mind's belief

that such as any word will fit

with all the proper discernment and wit?

Duh, idk...

The poem was so introspective and eloquent - and then that last bit "Duh, idk..." cracked me up. I related to this piece. Well penned.

laughing here... it's where most of us do...
An interesting thought....i think sometimes the words choose me rather than me choosing them.

Dreams sometimes play a part in what we choose to write
Television makes a little impression
The weather outside and in
A heart beating, then not
Feeling good, feeling lost

Rhyming is thought of as passee .. some say
Grammar sometimes gets left back
Fantasy, and erotica kinda like to play
The dark and silent type..
It's a alphabetic soup of the day

idk ... lol ... J.

~ wow... ~ a very fascinating and sweet piece of writing... it has the aroma of child-like curiosity... ~ loved the closing... ~ i agree with emily feret... sometimes pieces get written on their own...and we just imagine we're writing them... :P

Sometimes ...to your first, and thank you to the second.
That's the beauty of the human mind...
Each thought can be stated in a million different permutations and combinations and expressed just as effectively and beautifully every time....

It was a wonderful thought to pen Chris and you did it so well here!
