"...T'was Just A Country Lane..."

"...T'was Just A Country Lane..."

A Poem by Chris

I'm watching an airplane pass overhead... and daydreaming with the blinking of its lights. Damn, just how silly can a person be to wish so very hard on little 'twinklings' that have no powers to do more than give - more - "nothings" in our lives.

...Comes a time when you haven't even stars for your wishes to dream upon...

"...T'was Just A Country Lane..."

...i know...

i wish... too much

too often

  too long

too hard

     ...too deeply

...and I DO know it.

But it's what I CAN do

...ALL I can do.

It's my heart - ya know?

Chris

Later perhaps, You might find some starlight inside waiting to come out?  It's what we do - release starlight...

My Dear Writing Friend,
I liked this write, it is a thought provoking word tapestry that begs my pneuma to muse before my fire.

So many stars have fallen on hard times
Inside, each once held such promise and dreams
I'd give up everything, even my old heart
If I could hold the ones I've lost
And say I love you, one more time

I've stop wishing .. but for some reason, I'm still waiting for someone to come home ..

Wishes, and prayers, and hopes and dreams ... aren't what they used to be.
But neither are we..

starlight and rainbows and moonbeams and fairy dust

all have the power to move a stranded heart, if we let them

I love your mind...the way it ticks...that gift you have of making everything just...fit...and always with the "ya know?"...because yeah...I do know. It's remarkable, to say the very least.
