"The Winter Of Our Existence..."

"The Winter Of Our Existence..."

A Poem by Chris
"

It is so much harder to say yes... even when I say please? Isn't it?

"

“The Winter Of Our Existence…”

Roses are red,

Violets are blue -

you are a wonder-full

beauty-full ...YOU!

…and I am smiling

And you DO know it - feel it

believe    it…

You'ld make awesome snow angels...

and I ...I would be found in the listening

to you being ...you.

The little     girl     laughing from the inside.

Your hands,     our     hands,

just doing what hands always do -

being the parts that touch, entwine,

swing,     hold,           squeeze -

weave the dreams as the day goes by -

the sound of winter leaves underfoot

...seeing your breath expanding

and expanding as you move

     and move

               swaying     turning-and-turning

the pause -

          all-the-while

the mind spins and spins

dizzy and free and sooooo alive.

The sounds of you just ...being.

The taste of hot chocolate

and the softest smile behind my eyes...

I don't want you entertaining

- feeling you must DO

something

anything

different …just to suit me

or anyone    else.

I want to hear your heart -

To KNOW your eyes …smiling,

your breath flowing past your lips.

I want to taste your being,

the woman you are

the GIRL you ARE...

no hon - not the one you felt you had to be

or the one you pretended

or hoped

or wished you could have been.

You…

you are so more special

- right now -

than you've a clue...

to me.

Chris

Chris
Feel free

The intent - to refind what another has lost - themselves, their way. To pause and TAKE the breath and thereafter remember who YOU are and what it is to be - you ...and to KNOW you aren't a trivial bit of fluff blown away on the wind - ever.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I see such beauty in these sentiments.

A trivial bit of fluff cannot be the subject of this poem, ever. In that you are quite correct. This shows her what you mean.In a sweetly touching way.

fresh and refreshing. Not quite sure about the 8th line. is you'ld supposed to be you'd? or you'll? just a small typo. in any case, very new. very pomo. Me likey. There are some palpable lines and others are like mirages. All in all it's cool. It went great with a large Dr. Pepper from McDonald's Restaurant

How are you feeling, friend?

Fresh snow and a "bug" makes for an odd couple.
Each will find their own stories in Your words ..
Here is what I find.

Be real
Be true
Be all the best of You
it's simply what I truly want to know
And get close to
A Lovely smiling You ..

I must admit this one took me in many different directions
But I think you only had one place in mind
I don't know exactly why, but this one pulled heart strings ,and made me cry ..

Take care Chris .. stay warm .. smile .. and Love .

Just Me .. feeling warmth, in winter..

If only our loved one could see themselves through our eyes and vice versa, what a happier world it would be.

It is tough sometimes to be YOU while also taking care of everything and everyone around you that needs you, especially us moms. That's why carving out time for rejuvenating the spirit is so important.

well.. I don't know what you intended but I do know what I see and hear.. it is hard sometimes.. when it is important to me.. not to try to BE what I think is wanted.. needed.. to hold that so neccessary.. to me.. attention.. the she that is me seems so trivial from the inside out..
