"The Winter Of Our Existence..."

"The Winter Of Our Existence..."

A Poem by Chris
"

It is so much harder to say yes... even when I say please? Isn't it?

"

“The Winter Of Our Existence…”

Roses are red,

Violets are blue -

you are a wonder-full

beauty-full ...YOU!

…and I am smiling

And you DO know it - feel it

believe    it…

You'ld make awesome snow angels...

and I ...I would be found in the listening

to you being ...you.

The little     girl     laughing from the inside.

Your hands,     our     hands,

just doing what hands always do -

being the parts that touch, entwine,

swing,     hold,           squeeze -

weave the dreams as the day goes by -

the sound of winter leaves underfoot

...seeing your breath expanding

and expanding as you move

     and move

               swaying     turning-and-turning

the pause -

          all-the-while

the mind spins and spins

dizzy and free and sooooo alive.

The sounds of you just ...being.

The taste of hot chocolate

and the softest smile behind my eyes...

I don't want you entertaining

- feeling you must DO

something

anything

different …just to suit me

or anyone    else.

I want to hear your heart -

To KNOW your eyes …smiling,

your breath flowing past your lips.

I want to taste your being,

the woman you are

the GIRL you ARE...

no hon - not the one you felt you had to be

or the one you pretended

or hoped

or wished you could have been.

You…

you are so more special

- right now -

than you've a clue...

to me.

Chris

Author's Note

Chris
Feel free

The intent - to refind what another has lost - themselves, their way. To pause and TAKE the breath and thereafter remember who YOU are and what it is to be - you ...and to KNOW you aren't a trivial bit of fluff blown away on the wind - ever.

Oh goodness...each time I delve into your words, my heart is fluttered even more...strong words from an understanding soul who sees...and I mean sees x

Everyone needs to hear this, and remember it...as we try to be everything to everyone, and somewhere along the way, lose ourselves. This is a very powerful and well written piece.

I'm glad you chose to pause here... and hope you return.
Reading this poem is like an embrace - I can feel the "It's all good, I love you for you" sentiment in every line, and will be smiling every time I think about your words!

I sent a new "note"... wait until you stumble across some other of my writes...chuckling here
There is an innocence to this piece and a dear message. To thine own self be true, and always remember the childlike innocence inside. Love the format too, excellent read.

'You'ld make awesome snow angels... and I ...I would be found in the listening ~ to you being ...you. The little girl laughing from the inside. '

This is more than beautiful, more than full of a reminder that however small or insignificant we are, each of us in unique, especially when loved.. So often, we feel nothing more than an invisible speck .. and yes, a trivial bit off blown away fluff. But.. .. but fluff floats, somersaults, catches the sunlight, becomes as beautiful as your thinking.

There's so often a hush of space after your words. Time to just sit.

Written by a man who knows... life and living and loving for the sheer joy of loving.

A strong tender share.
