"A Note..."

"A Note..."

A Poem by Chris
"

So many, many lines to read between ...aren't there?

"

So many, many lines to read

- between -

aren't there?

"A Note..."

"Hi...", it's just me ...again

no one ..special

nothing ...nothing new.

Just me, "I wanted..."

way too much - always too much

I guess that IS the way of things -

everythings, anythings ...always too much

of something - cost, paid or due

me wanting ...you... wanting

everybody wanting -

"To say..."

- seems words just get in the way

as we each trip, stumble, even fall

to our ...heavenly hell - hell-fully-heaven

our     doom     our     being so found

     our     rememberings     in the night

our      tears     have so much meaning

ours     hours     too much     meaning

sometimes they're right here - within

     me     us     the words

-arethewords -     surround EACH word...

big, little, meaning-full

meaningless

words     begging

said, heard, known ...given

forgottenrememberedand sometimesyouwishyouhadn't ..spoken

ever breathed, tried...

because you risked too much, too little,

too everything you knew

for what you didn't really know at all

- understand ..at all.

"I hope..." no, I don't DO that - any more

anymore     ever     more    evermore

forever     forevermores     that's what we always risk - isn't it?

- the empty nights

- the wish-full days

the lil things that edge and border our existence

..the thoughts we hold so tight inside...

"...Everything..." - what's it all mean,

what DID it all ...mean?

What's any thing mean when you feel

this     way

hurt-full?     Numb?     so empty -

even God is crying.

It's the silence that fills me ...now.

The silence - life...fading

"...IS going - well."

"Take care."

Perhaps the wanting is the path to continue our journey. Sometimes the journey is completed in a day, others are never completed, regardless of the number of days. Silence born of emptiness stills the heart and magnifies...."feeling fine" which is really never feeling fine at all. Contemplation has always produced strong writes for you....
Thanks for the window...

You're welcome
You have a way of making a reader feel like the only person in the World of Word. Here i felt the pangs of long, deep love, of absence and enquries unanswered. And the latter are so painful. Seems one is denied warmth, that of the Creator's echoed by the absence of another human's heart-deep call. You've always managed to insert the inhale of thought, the exhale of emotion - you know how. This poem calls and recalls, Chris.. is somehow sadly beautiful.

(How come i missed this those years back... )

I should vist more often and, truly will try.
A very insight poem into the meanings of saying and words. We say to each other with hidden depth and emotions. Profoundly expressed and felt. Wow.

Hmmmm- deep and true- everything is nothing and nothing is all- the moral is to speak the truths and emotions and all shall be as it should- excellent 🌹

Hi Chris,

I'm looking forward to learning a lot from your writing. I'm quite intimidated by your work I have to admit but hey, I'm hear to be intimidated and poked and prodded - how else can you learn! I particularly liked this one. Loom forward to knowing you - at least your writing ( :
