"Unsilvered Mirrors..."

"Unsilvered Mirrors..."

A Poem by Chris
"

Southern Cross' "Orphaned Lovers" drew these words

"

Southern Cross' "Orphaned Lovers" drew these

"Unsilvered Mirrors..."

Sitting

leaning

- forehead to the glass...

staring unseeing

quietly being

nowhere at all

- here -

as each word - forms, glistens

slowly begins to fall

- faster,

faster still...

'til from the cheek - released

each floats...

glistening,

sparkling,

finding the starlight

then splattering

spattering

exploding

releasing the heartlight to

merge

merging

with the darkness

becoming

being

the silence

within which I

...live.

This is haunts me with a living ghost. You're expressing existence in a way only you could, though we've all felt it the same, I'm sure.

I agree with S.C. your words are melodious, they sing to our hearts.

The light we seek in the darkness in truly within ourselves so the looking in the mirror is the way to find it. Excellent work.

Ok I read "Orphaned Lovers" .. and now I've read this poem (5 times) ...

And I don't understand how they relate .. I do understand the silence within,

And I know about not being heard, or having no reason to speak

I don't know how words can "glisten" "sparkle" , or "spatter" (unless one is spitting)

"Unsilvered mirrors" .. ? .. I know they reflect nothing .. but how does that relate

here ..? .. .. Ok I'll come back when I find my thinking cap .. now where did I put it ...

SIGH .. I think I am a lost cause ...

I tried ... Jazz

:) .............. X
There's something cool not just about the way/which words you select, but how you structure the poem. We have to read them in the way I imagine you expect us to. I'm not making sense, lol. Do you know what I mean? (and if I'm confused I'm sure you are)
I can imagine your voice agiving a poetry reading even though I've never met nor 'heard' your voice. I think that's what I mean :)

I am honored to have created an inspiration by my words . Your words are like an ancient waltz in flow and melody. I am so glad I am back and among friends such as you.

I really write in ink... and in multiple journals.
Exceptional, as always. Your voice just flows, Chris...seamlessly and beautifully.
