"Twas Twilight..."

Twas our twilights - hours fading into eve

day deepening into night's draw and pensive sway

the very air in soft caress...

Two - both a world apart and in between -

in silence pause as timeless becomes,

sit - waiting the faerie come to dance --

Our eyes aglow

Hearts - so tight within...

~ And the moon was yet to rise and share the pull

     of simple wish and dreams...

   again.

Our "glass" began to stir

- soft and gentle shivers -- quivers

...And THERE in the shadow's leap formed

mystery's touch of what we knew

of day's near joyful death,

its nocturne nigh --

with gasping breath the sweet sung psalm!

'Mid crispen leaves and paths of patent gold
sang sound!

There came the nascent weave of faerie-blessed time

and winging wisps in magyk rhyme.

Pause     TIME
Pause night,   pause whippoorwill

'til startled bird now in flight

its plumage all a feathered frill - of

sweet delights and mid night trills
robed in spider's silk hung overground

and under hedge ...by the whispered will
of faerie tone - all   now    bound.

~ ~ the Danse begins ~ ~

I almost breathed

touched within by soft and silken hands

that hesitantly - began - yet still flowed softly sure

round and around 'til my own were found

- my own awaiting here, open and wishing and

fingers' tips drew and wove and flew

still finding more of me ...than I even knew

and oh we danced!

and danced

and danced...

as the magyk glowed

and hearts' music filled

each with the other's moment..

and the echoes of the world ...paused.

We held so close and tender tight

soft with wishings' light
and turned and swirled and twirled

and as our eyes filled and filled,

the faerie smiled and sparkled all the more.

Behind our eyes the whispers grew
and ghostlets flew in time's evermores

'til

the morning loomed its bright reveal

the faerie

- now paused

we gaze within.
Our sad and soul-full eyes still shine -- but

it's tears that glisten and gleam inside;

our silence returns

and the world    begins    anew

to move

while our hearts echo that so soft sway

and furnished full with more than breath,

knowing ne'er a final death.

But God   ...we Danced!

We DID!

We flew so high

and touched our stars

...and smiled with magyk held so tight within...

We held a moment

  in these restless fingers' tips!

and then -

  the faerie softly touched

    ...our lips.

"I almost breathed...than I even knew" --that entire stanza, from beginning to end, left me breathless. This is really beautiful; great collaboration. I'm a better person in this magyk moment for having read it. Thank you.

I was spinning in a whimsical world of faery dust when I read this. Wow!

You both write with such creativity...a perfect poetic pair indeed! 100/100

A very successful collaborative effort from two people on this site whose intellect
and creativity constantly shines upon us...dazzleing us sometimes and often directing via example, our own poetic pathways.

I for one, am immensely grateful!

Sigh... seamless flow and imagery... powerful magyk and endless grace. I lost myself in this... found myself crying; I think this is the most beautiful piece I've ever read.
Crying still... the sort of tears that wont stop.

One powerful write. Natural in the sense of feminine nature worship. Natural in the sense that we part of nature and that she deserves to be worshiped. The choice of Faerie is a natural one for this kind of motif. An excellent collaboration.
