I Lost My Light

help me find it please

Someone please help

I lost my inner light

The one that held my head up

And carried me through 

The lands of hatred and spite. 

The one that told me it would be okay

When I swam through the seas

Of pain and dismay.

The light that way always there

The light that kept me here

The light that reassured me 

I would never disappear.

The light that helped me value my life

Always put visions in my mind

Always told me I was going to thrive.

But now my precious light is gone,

And now my life just seems so wrong,

Someone please help

My light, I cannot find

It’s more important than everything

It held my back up

It’s my invisible spine.
