Psychic vampire
A Poem by
Anata
Vampires, but not as we know them
Every human being
Transformed
Into a sphere of energy
Stored deep inside
Waiting to be fed on
Searching for the perfect
Match
The one who will complete
My inner core
My utmost being
Looking with infrared
Vision
Allowing to spot
The most pacified one
Allowing me to enter the unknown
I will feed on it’s soul
Compete
With their enemies
Fighting off the prejudiced
Entering the pool of life

Wow...:)
I've never heard about the concept of a 'psychic' vampire, sounds very interesting and also slightly frightening...:)
Anyway, great poem here, short but sweet, with good wording and flow. I especially liked
"I will feed on its soul
Compete
With their enemies
Fighting off the prejudiced
Entering the pool of life"
In all, a very thoughtful, deep piece of writing :)

I liked it, particularly the first paragraph. It was very poetic.

Very nice piece of work about the psychic vampire. I love the last line. " Entering the pool of life." Yes, very nice indeed.

Perfect imagery. Wonderful piece. I like how you use the lines like "Looking with infrared vision" as metaphors to describe the vampire's ability to sneak into other's minds and souls to find whom the vampire is wanting for that night.

I don't know if you intended the metaphor, but turning love into vampirism is a fascinating comparison. I like the way you approached this poem.
