Struggle and strife

Struggle and strife

A Poem by Anata

I am compelled to go on
afraid to relinquish
for what more is there
when purpose left reason

Should my little bubble burst
my strife wash away
then who am I
to give up the trial

Stand up for my wishes
one by one attained
even fickle imagination
what more can be gained

as days pass by
one more bearable than the other
then what are my thoughts
to set loose the ghosts

Compelled to go on
too stubborn to relinquish
as there is nothing more
should purpose leave reason

I like the poem. too stubborn to relinquish. Those words stood out and are powerful. I like the feel and goal of the words. You can't back down. Must go forward always and not accept defeat. A outstanding poem.
