Getting By

Getting By

A Poem by SurrealSurrenders

I am fine. I told you always.

And I still believe that I am

But, on days when everything seems,

A little harder than it is seen

The fact that you are not here

Becomes unexplainably painful to bear

And then what feels like a calming breeze

Is the comfort of memories woven by me

I will always have another reason to smile

Maybe tomorrow, I'll walk another mile

But for now, I wanna lay low and hide

And hope for the mighty light to guide.
