Defeated

Defeated

A Story by Ananya

Trapped....

Her eyes were huge with fear. What are they going to do?

She frantically looked around for an escape. No door, no road, no opening....

She wanted to cry aloud, " Mom, save me. Dad, I am here."

But she knew they would not come....

She was alone...
And trapped.

A rough hand on her velvety neck...a rough pull...merciless shove...

Tears trickle down ...

Her soft, fur covered, golden brown skin trembled...

"Here, we got tthe young fawn for you."

Another shove...another hands..

A gleam of silver in air...
Her unuttered scream died midway.

We must accept that other creatures are like us too- they feel pain, they feel happy, they feel sad. It is really contemptuous that some people harm those who cannot express pain- the animals- just for the sake of their pleasure. Such people do not deserve to be called humans. Great work there. Keep writing.

This is sad. Killing for sport...
It's senseless.

Had to read a second time to get the picture. Not saying that was a bad thing.. It was just shocking as Phoenix said. It made me grit my teeth a little. Good entry thou.

Wow.

What a shockingly striking piece. Thank you for sharing this. I wasn't expecting to feel as I do.
