The Tune Changes

The Tune Changes

A Poem by Anand Sehgal

Look at that one lonely valley.
When the sun rises,
along with the vermilion beams
a soft vibrant song  spreads
all over it.

When the sun sets ,
the moon shows up
 for the habitual evening walk.
An echoing, melancholic song
drenches the vale .
A silvery syrup is made in the black bowl
called 'The Night' ,
and as the fluent fluid hits the dark wall,
the wind column keeps churning out
the song- the Anthem of Void .

The tune changes its apparel again,
When the sun rises.

Thank you for entering my competition.

Straight away you set the mood, tone and place. I walk along with your words in hand, as lovely and languid as the moon you so beautifully depict.

My favourite lines being:
'A silvery syrup is made in the black bowl
called 'The Night'

It is us who make the night, in the sense that we call it. We have given it a charm of its own, a charm which you portray so lovingly.

The tune changes its apparel again,
When the sun rises. ..

I really like the mix of images here, Anand. Visual, auditory, even tactile - a rich poem.

thanks a lot Rita :) you have been an inspiration for me :)
What I like about the poem is that it describes a scenario that most persons dont like to be near to and the writer makes the scene attractive.

I like the attention to detail that the writer uses to gather the readers interest into finding the descriptions from the poem valuable.

I felt this - beautiful! The imagery here is wonderfully vivid and shows a process to life, so many things we take for granted...so many things unseen until we look for them! Awesome! x

thanks so much sweetheart :), glad that you liked it :)
I so looked through your retina, at this valley... and your words, bring vivid moments to life, my dear.
Your poetry is so rich, of truth, and well felt, moments, you're a moment catcher, a painter of life.

I so enjoyed this utterly beautiful poetic piece... chapeau... -x- :)
