The Tune Changes

The Tune Changes

A Poem by Anand Sehgal

Look at that one lonely valley.
When the sun rises,
along with the vermilion beams
a soft vibrant song  spreads
all over it.

When the sun sets ,
the moon shows up
 for the habitual evening walk.
An echoing, melancholic song
drenches the vale .
A silvery syrup is made in the black bowl
called 'The Night' ,
and as the fluent fluid hits the dark wall,
the wind column keeps churning out
the song- the Anthem of Void .

The tune changes its apparel again,
When the sun rises.

Thank you for entering my competition.

Straight away you set the mood, tone and place. I walk along with your words in hand, as lovely and languid as the moon you so beautifully depict.

My favourite lines being:
'A silvery syrup is made in the black bowl
called 'The Night'

It is us who make the night, in the sense that we call it. We have given it a charm of its own, a charm which you portray so lovingly.

thanks so very much dear for the kind visit :)
Incredible imagery in this one, Anand! We watch as day turns to night and then back to day again....and there is comfort in knowing this will always be the case. Great personification of the day. I enjoyed it. Lydi**

Thanks so very much dear Ambra :)
I hope to do this justice, Anand.

An endless pursuit
In cyclic motion
Of two
Who hardly meet
One,
Uttered in the aria
Of the sprightly diurnal
The other,
Sung in the seemingly silent
mysterious nocturnal.

And yet,
Within that ephemeral moment,
When two friends meet,
Creation orchestrates
Its magnificence.

A symphony played
In joy of each rising day
And in serenity
On each setting sun.
