Many a time my body, my soul gets hurt while walking the tiring path of life, and my eyes start searching for the destination, at least a tree, Some broad shades, adequate rest.
Too many mirages mock at me . Caring very little about those , I look at the gores and blisters on my body . Knowing well that the ones residing in my soul are even deeper , I tighten up my chin .
I caress myself, telling - " A few more moments , Receive a bit more than what you thought , and the tide will be yours !"
Wonderful poem, well written. Kept me flowing and breezing through your words. Nice description and pace.
"Many a time
my body, my soul gets hurt
while walking the tiring path of life,
and my eyes start searching for
the destination" rings true for so many people!
"Knowing well that the ones residing
in my soul are even deeper ,
I tighten up my chin ." Very powerful and reaches all types of people! Well done!

thanks so very much my friend . I am glad that I could communicate my thoughts effectively .
Receive a bit more than what you thought ,
and the tide will be yours !"
A great write, well expressed emotions and thoughts, ending is superb, may be we should practice tide dance so that we become masters not the tide as Rachelle said, storm dance, life dance, tide dance all make us immune to the heat of life
Life represents many things, and we have obstacles to overcome and deal with throughout life.
Your journey will be different than others, and it will be only yours to keep.
False hope and broken promises are present...will you deal with them in the right way?
The process gives us strength and wisdom.
Learning is the key.

Glad to receive your comments Josie as always. Seeing you after a long time :)
It's worth it to hold on.... just "a few more moments" of agony may bring a lifetime of blessings..
The obstacles in life make us stronger...we overcome them, which serves a greater purpose.
The imagery and use of metaphor is brilliant. The last two lines gave me goosebumps. One of the best poems I've read in a long time. Going in my library.

What a gorgeous write, the image of the journey through life... needing rest and restoration yet persevering is an encouragement. " and the tide will be yours!" I adore that line! Well done poet!
