A Change, The Change

A Change, The Change

A Poem by Anand Sehgal

Once my dreams became verbose ;
I woke up to see that my magic pen was missing.
It was sailing away ,
Riding on the tide,
defining a new era ,
I had lost my artistry by then ;
I realized I was a mere  period.
Periods are never the same.

This is a very special write for me. It reminded me of writer's block. Writers go through phases of great changing as they are very sensitive individuals and life's events make deep impact on them. I am struggling with it for past several months and I could really connect to all you say in this great poem.

Season changes and so do people…and so do fate. A change is sometimes necessary…and for an artist(i my beleif) is quite beneficial though it seems too tough in the first place.

No, periods are not the same. But they can signify a new beginning. Wait something new is on the way.

thanks a lot dear Pryde for your kind support :)
Sometimes the lost things are found again... I like the idea of this one; a magic pen sailing away--I've felt this way at times.

Suggestion: "I realized I was (a) mere period."
