A Change, The Change

A Change, The Change

A Poem by Anand Sehgal

Once my dreams became verbose ;
I woke up to see that my magic pen was missing.
It was sailing away ,
Riding on the tide,
defining a new era ,
I had lost my artistry by then ;
I realized I was a mere  period.
Periods are never the same.

This is a very special write for me. It reminded me of writer's block. Writers go through phases of great changing as they are very sensitive individuals and life's events make deep impact on them. I am struggling with it for past several months and I could really connect to all you say in this great poem.

yes , change keeps freshness flowing :)
Maybe the period is a symbol for you to stop and observe. I am sure a comma or a dash will come along to get you back on track. ; )

Hope to regain the form soon !
it has happened that i dream of a wonderful poem and when i wake up and by the time i try to write it it is gone! it is disappointing and i often feel like a period then, so it speaks to me! Nice one.

writer's block is a hard thing to cope with ! :(
Saved this to my reading list, it was really good! bottom two lines were amazing, just left you with thouts and wishing the poem was longer.. good job! :)

Thank you my dear friend for the review .Usually I keep it short because I am always afraid that I w.. read more
As people we I’s are always morphing into something else we recognise as our reality.
But what is reality? It is different for everyone and is in a constant a state of flux…
So we only trust what our senses tell us… and only imagine a greater meaning to it all.
