The Spirit We Must Maintain

The Spirit We Must Maintain

A Poem by Anand Sehgal

No worries Pal, Anyways,
Thanks for all good old days,
Now let’s part our ways ..,

Fasten the backpack once you
Stuff with food, love, clouds and rains …

Anything else you want too,
As much as you can,
Even the old dry piece of
"Childhood Sugercane"….!!

I am gonna go for the Yellow Stone,
You might wanna head towards
The Blue Ridge Mountains..;

Go far away, go climb the pink Zion cliff,
Lunge to take all the pains…

Lets Get dissimilated into five elements ,
As slowly as they grow, the grains …;

Lets free the souls from all the old stains ,
Humbly , yet with adequate disdain..,

The disdain we should upkeep,
The spirit we must maintain ..!!

There are those times when we must walk another path and put the old behind us as we move on!
And with this, our companions might have the same desires - one goes to the north, another to the south, and so it goes. The best outcome is that the paths may cross again one day!
An interesting write with good rhyme!

it is so true......pals are apart from each other.we were like one soul. Rarely we meet but love remains the same and the same feel even today :)

that is how real life works , isn't it?
There's a comraderie found with nature that kicks in all those "endorphins". Wonderful insight, Anand!

I am brought back to my back-packing days. You meet people, bond in intimate ways, speaking of friendship here, learn tremendous life-lessons, and then you part never to meet again. So sad and so sweet. You capture this splendidly.
