Life is an unedited filmstrip, and you won't ever get a chance to see how you looked in the act.
You would never know whether you needed an improvement , by listening to mere mortal beings, posing as the superiors to you ; because none of them is the director.
Nobody knows , what the original script says, no one knows the purpose of the eternal drama. We are just ephemeral puppets, to be played with. A king may get to play the role of a servant; an outcast may emerge as the closest person overnight. It is an art of destiny ; a film, by the destiny, but nobody will know ever, a film meant for whom !
Thought provoking and leads me to take a look at my actions and perhaps not ask so many questions but understand that we are all a part of destiny and embrace the results with a bit of peace, instead of turmoil!!
You are right in that nobody knows the original script, nor the purpose of the eternal drama. We are part of a plan!!
Excellent!!
Is there a script and if so how can we follow it if it is not handed to each of us? Lots to ponder here for sure. I think we are better off not knowing our scripts....I would not want to know beforehand some of the things I have had to experience in life. We all need to deal with what comes our way.....and try to make the best of the roll because no one knows when the play will be over. Good metaphor in this one. Lydi**
"Life is an unedited filmstrip,

so true...we play a vital role in it but the act is unseen....
"It is an art of destiny ;
a film, by the destiny,"
very simple to understand and beautifully written. sometimes it is felt...life is such a big drama.
A modern take on "Life is but a poor player' pointing to the importance, I feel, to a little humility, an open mind, and a open heart. Well-said. Thank you.
A great analogy - sort of a modern day "All the world's a stage..." You are right, we can never know what act is to come; all we can do is give our best performance. Good write, Anand!

I used to act in plays and dramas, so I find that life has a similarity with those. :) Thanks a lot .. read moreI used to act in plays and dramas, so I find that life has a similarity with those. :) Thanks a lot Ma'am :)
Probably why so many stick to the rules someone else has written rather than writing their own. That way they can blame someone else if there are problems. Look at the art of raising children. So many parents looked at Dr. Spock's book as the Bible of child rearing, for better or for worse. This is a very thoughtful poem, Anand. You always make me think - and after working all day I may not be thinking straight just now. But I enjoy your poetry very much. Write on!
