Letter to My Love

I made a mistake many years ago

Although I wish I could change this

It just isn't so

I've lived with sadness all this time

Wishing that you were still mine

You loved me for who I was

And not what I could give

If only I had made another choice

Imagine the kind of life we could have lived

I grieve for our love, lost long ago

And wonder if you will ever know

We're in different worlds

But I keep thoughts of you always

Deep within my heart
