The show must go onA Poem by Papaya.
Too many times I've stumbled
over rocky sentiments and gravelled thoughts that shake the perfect posture I wear like a tidy air of confidence not quite as flimsy as the ground I tread upon though never far off from knocking me right onto my tail I believe a bruised bottom might do me some good I need a reason to cry or rather, I need a catalyst something to open the gate to my pain but I tip toe here and pirouette there curtsy and bow a bit of side step around the issue everyone goes away but I remember them just the same the actors in my play leaving the stage before the drop of the curtain it's the time of year for remembering the lives of those who died before the end of the show that must go on © 2024 Papaya |
