Beyond what we know

Beyond what we know

A Poem by Sapphus

Like a whisper from behind.
A note slipped in from below the door.
The slipping of a veil on what we knew lay beyond but couldn't clearly see.
Dreams tell us more than the reality
that we think we know.

Maybe for some, Sapphus. For others like me, my sleep remains undisturbed and the only thing felt or seen is the comfort of a fluffy pillow. Many do place a lot of significance in what they dream about and some even live their realities according to what they dream. I just think they are ramblings of thoughts that create an abstract mental picture while our brain and body lies in a state of rest. If you can make sense of your dreams, then all power to you. I enjoyed your musing. ❤️

If you can make sense of your dreams, consider yourself fortunate Sapphus. Mine are a complete dog’s dinner. Enjoyed the read:)

i have been thinking a lot about all the things i do not know. it is so natural to believe we know everythign and that we are good people. yet recently taking to some very idiotic people who think they're smart i began to do a bit of soul searching. whether in dreams or in writing, our true selves are revealed. it is our goal in life to know thyself and such meditations are important.

I have heard dreams can tell us things. Unfortunately, mine speak mostly gibberish.
