No One

You look around and no one’s there.
You’re tired and lonely and full of despair.
You heads hung down,.
On your face a frown.
You’ve come acquainted with the hollow sound
of no one’s voice and no one around.
Your hope is gone,
your tears are dry.
You cannot weep
for time gone by.
A weary moan escapes your lips,
as on the trigger
you place your fingertips.
You lay back in your bed
there is no pain,
just a bang.
You are dead,
forever resting in your bed.
