Chapter 3

What the hell

Kaitlyn’s alarm clock went off at 6: 30 in the morning, she hated getting up this early. She got out of bed and headed to her bathroom to take a shower, fifteen minutes later she got out: her outfit she picked out for the day was, dark coral aeropostale tee which says aeropostale New York across on it, and aeropostale skinny Jean. She looked over at her reflection after she putted some make-up on. At least I look pretty today; I really need to get some more black eyeliner before I ran out. She thought. Today her hair was up in a messy bun. She grabbed her school bag off from her computer chair.

After she put the book she was reading in her bag, she headed down the stairs, Chelsea Lee was making breakfast for her kids. Kaitlyn went over to her mom. “What are you cooking?” she asked her. Many people, says Kaitlyn looks a lot like her mother but she doesn’t see it. They have the same jet black hair, but her mother eyes are bluish green. Kaitlyn had no clue where she got her eye color from, her dad has green eyes. Her bother has the same color as Chelsea’s.

“Eggs and bacon.” Her mother replied. Kaitlyn hated pork or anything that has pig in it. She made a face at her.

“Yuck, I’m not eating any of that stuff.” Adam peered over at his sister.

“Then what are you going to eat then?” he asked.

Kaitlyn didn’t say anything, instead she walked out the door, “I will get me something on the way to school, bye mom.” She called out. Once outside, she saw Tyler’s 2011 sky blue mustang pulled into her driveway. Tyler was in 10th grade. He rolled down his window.

“Do you need a ride?” He asked her nicely. Kaitlyn stood there froze for a moment then nodded once. She blew out a silent sigh, and then got in his car.

“How did you know where I live, are you like a stalker now?” She questioned. He didn’t look at her for a long time or even saying anything. He pulled out of her driveway, and turned on the radio. The song Take me on the floor, by the Veronicas was playing.

“Omigosh Tyler, I was just kidding.” Kaitlyn finally said, to break the silence.

He finally looked over at her, but his eyes weren’t the pretty blue color anymore, it was the color of midnight. She never saw eyes that color before. He drove past the school. “You should think before, you say stuff.” He shouted. What the hell is the matter with him! She thought. What was he doing? He was pretty much kidnapping her, or at least that’s how she sees it.

Jason Night

Jason woke up around seven, he couldn’t sleep at all because he was having nightmares, they were about Kaitlyn, he didn’t feel like going to school but he has to. He tied to call Tyler but he didn’t pick up, and he usually does. Tyler was his only ride to school. I guess I have to walk, but this doesn’t feel right at all. He thought. When he got to school he didn’t see Tyler anywhere, nor did he see Kaitlyn.

School didn’t feel right to him…he went out the door with inhuman speed. The only thing was on his mind at the moment was to find Tyler and Kaitlyn. He straightening his shoulders, unfurled his golden wings. They slowly extended up and out from his shoulders. Then he flew up into the sky, he made sure nobody was looking over at him.

Jason found Tyler’s car in the middle of nowhere, he landed on the ground without making any noise. His wings disappeared. “Let go of me!” he heard Kaitlyn cried out.

“Relax Kate; I’m not going to hurt you.” Tyler replied. Jason knew he was lying through his teeth.

“Why should I believe you?” she asked. Jason followed their voices, when he reached them he made sure he was hidden in the woods. Kaitlyn looked pissed, but of course Tyler was clam as always. Tyler moved closer toward her. Then he kissed her. Kaitlyn kissed him back. He thought she was going to push him away but he thought wrong. Nothing he could do now is there.

Jason walked toward them, when Tyler saw him…he broke the kiss off. “W-what are you two going out or something now?” he asked Tyler.

But he didn’t say anything, instead it was Kaitlyn. “Hell nah, why would I date him for? C’mon I don’t even know him that well and plus he pretty much kidnapped me.”

“He kidnapped you?” He looked over at Tyler. “That’s against the law Mr. Lightwood.”

Tyler’s face darkened. “I didn’t kidnap her, I ask her if she wanted a ride to school, and she said yes, and how is that against the damn law?”

“It doesn’t look like you took her to school.” Jason yelled. “You know what?”

            “What?” Tyler asked.

Without saying anything else, Jason went up to Kaitlyn. “It’s time for both of us to get back to the school. We only missed 1st period.” He turned his gaze to Tyler. “Ooh yeah I am taking your car. Nice luck getting back.”

They both got their blue slips, after that they both headed to their 2nd period class.

Jason went inside to his study hall room, he gave his teacher his blue slip, and after he signed he kept it. Jason walked over to Hayden. She had her golden blonde hair pulled up into a high ponytail.

“I need to tell you something.” He told her.

“Oh okay.” He filled her in about Kaitlyn and Tyler. She narrowed her green eyes. “He never changes does he?”

Hayden doesn’t know a lot of stuff about Jason or Tyler’s past. And Jason would like it to stay like that. Some stuff people just don’t need to know about. Alexander’s party was tonight and he hoped Kaitlyn wouldn’t be there. And of course Hayden would find a way for Kaitlyn to come, there’s no doubt about that.

Jason looked at his cell phone to see what it was: it was 9: 30, five more minutes will be walking period and that means they have to walk around the middle school and all the way back to the high school.

“Almost walking period,” Hayden called out. “I bet we have to walk the long way, which I hate.”

“You will live Hayden; it’s not the end of the world.” Jason replied. Hayden cut him a look.

            “It will be in 2012.”

(The bell rang)

“I’m going to find Kaitlyn.” Hayden told him, she pushed the doors opened then she walked out of the room.

Kaitlyn Lee

Kaitlyn and Hayden walked down the hill. “Omigosh I really hate this.” Kaitlyn called out.

Hayden sighed. “Tell me about it, dude I hate it when the middle school students looking out at us from the glass doors, I mean c’mon why do they even do that.”

Kaitlyn didn’t know how to answer that, so she didn’t say anything at all. They walked past the baseball field. They both started to walk faster to get this over with. When the elementary school finally came into view they walked slower. They walked around the pole, and headed toward the sidewalk when they walked past the old gym which was a brick building, Kaitlyn wonder if the gym was there in the 1940s also.

“At least we don’t have to walk around the middle school today, thank god for T-cap.” Hayden said.

When they went inside the school building…Kaitlyn called out, “Yay long break.”

She walked down the marble halls to her locker; there was a lot people middle of the halls talking, drinking, and eating. Some of them were sitting down on the floor by their lockers. Kaitlyn went down on the floor in front of her locker then she opened it, and got her hand bag then slammed her locker shut. When she got up she hit her head up on somebody open locker.

“D****t, that f*****g hurt!” She shouted out, in protest.

“Maybe next time you need to watch out if someone locker is up.” A guy mumbled who has reddish brown hair, and deep brown eyes. His locker is on top, and it was his locker that she hit her head on.

“Whatever.” She replied hatefully. “Wait isn’t your name like Josh or something?”

He nodded. “Yeah Josh Kyle, and you’re the new girl Kaitlyn Lee.”

He was in her 2nd hour class which would be English. “Yes that would be me. Well bye.” She walked off to find Hayden.
