CorruptionA Poem by John ProphetCorruption
Corrupted. Easily corrupted. Humanity. Variable factors. Poverty. Greed. Genetically predisposed. Financial imperative. Hands out. Palms greased. Look the other way. Nothing wrong. Nothing to see. Just a little money. Moving things along. Getting things done. Money. Easy money. Business. Political. Sell out. Humanity. Corrupted to the core. Beware the sirens. Sirens of greed. Once corrupted no going back. Selling out! Deep inside. Inside the soul. Darkening. Justifying. Just a little money. No one will know. What’s the harm? Darkens the soul. Forever corrupted. Innocent no more! © 2024 John Prophet |
