A Poem by John Prophet

Beliefs.
Born
into a
world
full of
beliefs.
Years
in the
making.
Constructed.
Conjured.
Shaped.
Kneaded
into form.
Force fed
onto clear
empty
minds.
Ancient
beliefs
born
out of
fear.
Ignorance.
Downloaded.
Accident
of birth
determines.
Modernity
ripe with
conflicting
waring
beliefs.
Primitive
thoughts.
Friction
derived.
Anxiety,
conflict
narrative
caused.
Primitive
beliefs!
