War Drums

War Drums

A Poem by John Prophet

War
drums.
Minds
wound
tight.
Programming
on full
display.
Years
in the
making.
Narratives
deeply
entrenched.
Battle
lines
drawn.
Insanity,
hate.
Overlaid.
Years of
spinning,
results
easy to
see.
Minds
filled,
distorted.
Blinded to
reality.
Black
hole,
reasoning.
No turning
back.
New way
required.
Blow off.
Smoothing
the rhetoric.
New path
charted.
Before it’s
too
late.

This poem may describe all wars, but it is spot on for the current one in the middle east. Indeed, minds blinded to reality. And the end is not yet.
