Dregs

Dregs

A Poem by Amy Compton
"

A little of this and a little of that. All about love.

"
Dregs
By Amy Compton

Love exists...
But only in it's rarest forms.

Come lay with me.
Come hold my hand.

I'm underwater,
But I'm floating.
Drowning on the surface.

The feeling of a man's chest.

With your arms around me,
I almost forgot to breathe.
I didn't want to.

But,
What if you could sacrifice yourself
For the one's you love?
If only I'd done something
To prove he was no good.

Love exists...
But only in it's rarest forms.
