Those Eyes

Those Eyes

A Poem by Amy J

Your eyes.

Judgemental, resentful, unsentimental

Track me down

Sly, so very deceitful

Like the barrel of a gun

Eager and ready

Aim and fire

Your hand strong and steady

I fall to the floor

Tears stained with blood

Wounded and scorned

Your eyes... they won

"Like the barrel of a gun
Eager and ready"

boy oh boy don't we all know "Those Eyes" ... and they do very purposefully "Aim and fire" .. all from a place of a coward if you ask me .. enjoyed reading this Amy .. tho the subject is unpleasant and filled with pain ..your poem is very powerful ..very emotive

True how a single expression can cast upon oneself sunshine or shades, it is always uneasy to see a person staring at you without telling you what they don't like about things you are doing; even more so when you face a person you quarreled with - the predatory eyes, the rippled forehead, the cold lifeless face. Short and direct this poem conveyed the idea very well... pretty descriptive too... made me a little bit scared to be honest lol. Anyway well done.
