Death Graciously Saves

Death Graciously Saves

A Poem by Amy J
"

Needs desperate editing! All and any criticism welcome!

"

I will scream in silent voice

When the dagger digs in

And the sirens rejoice

Eyes will drown in the essence of love

The swirling amber proud

With the thickness of mud

As I lie here dying I'll look up to the sky

See the constellations, watch airplanes go by

I'll smile and laugh at memories drenched in time

'A short life I have lived'

Whispered as I mumble a cry

Death has come to take me with the moon and the stars

While life tries to drape me in blood and scars

I will float away in the dead of night

Tell my mother a lie, just say I'm alright

Say I'll look down on her from up in the sky

Look down on her hell

While she desperately slaves

As years upon years

Flood days upon days

Until the anonymous time

The unknown date

When she's the one

Death graciously saves
