Let me live my life...

 

 

Do not speak to me today

I have no desire to see you

My life has expired

 

My heart stopped beating last night

The pills numbed my soul

But did not lessen the pain within

 

You do not even care

You let me lie here until I died

Who are you to see my soul pass?

 

The powers above have failed me

They wrote lies in the clouds

Promises were broken today

 

I decide when my energy will cease

Exploding into balls of flames

Hopelessly falling from earth

Sometimes we have to "find" ourselves..... WE have to take control of our desires and destinations in this life. We only have one chance to go around so we need to learn HOW to make it count.

Only one word... *Adoration*. Beautiful and tragic, but not in that mushy way. Very pwerful, somehow makes me imagine Tim Burton's catwoman talking... Not at all sure why.

"Who are you to see my soul pass?" Loved that line, for some reason it stands out and makes the 'voice' if you will of the story teller. It's almost sadistic and entangled and perfectly beautiful at the same time.

Nice work on a deep subject. One line bothered me though. You say, The pills numbed my soul
They succumb the pain within. . ." Wasn't sure what you meant by "they succumb the pain within." Maybe that's just my lack of understanding. To me, succumb means yield or give up. Are you saying that the pills yield to the pain within? Maybe you meant numb? Hey, what do I know, I'm no poet, that's for sure!

Finding self is a hard, hard job, but, it happens and sometimes when we least expect it. Be sure, we are all here on earth for a reason. REMEMBER that.
