Dragon Fly

Dragon Fly

A Poem by Amy..... "sing To Me A Spanish Lullaby, And I Will Get Lost In Your Eyes"
"

Somehow, she knows when I need her to fly up....

"

What thrust the light straight to my soul
What fills that hole with smiles
What makes me stop no more to cry
-It is the Dragon Fly-

She flies right up to me you see
Just when I need a friend
Just when I need a ray of hope
She flies right up again.

I stop to take a breath of life
For that I can not help
But looking back behind you see
Her presence can be felt.

My Dragon Fly is way up high
Above my soul she flies
In keeping me right close at hand
She never says good-bye.

My special friend sent from above
To catch the tears I cry
To bring my soul from low to high
My friend the Dragon Fly.

Author's Note

Amy..... "sing To Me A Spanish Lullaby, And I Will Get Lost In Your Eyes"
After my mother past away.... I could be sitting in a car, on the back porch...where ever and a dragon fly would come up from no where at times. After numerous visits from different dragon flies...(maybe it was just the time of the year around July and August ?) the words to this poem came to play. Even today when I am outside I will see them. They seem to come around when I need them the most.

When someone physically goes out of your life it doesnt mean he or she has left completely. Somehow that Wonderful Being sends them back in some guise or other so that you're never, never alone. And, do you know... those loved ones can return in different forms, not only dragonflies or whatever... just look and you'll see, or, maybe you'll hear.

Your poem is absolutely beautiful. It's sad, yet the comfort's felt and shown. Take care... see, listen.

This is a comforting piece of writing. There have been times when something will grab my attention long enough for me to dry the tears. Birds used to have there place in bringing comfort to me. Love this poem.

About
Do we really have to "tell all" for one to be a friend? I am not like most of the writers here at the cafe. I have not been writing for very long and actually started only a short time ago after my .. more..
